Michael's Story

I am a partner at an international marketing company, and involved in global business development (international hedge funds and commerical real estate). I also serve on the board of directors (as the current Vice President) for the Fox Tucson Theate Foundation. We are responsible for overseeing the foundation and the 1,164 seat Fox Tucson Theatre which is a southwesten/art-deco historical landmark building (origionally built in 1929) and features more than 100 concerts, movies and performing arts events each year. The Fox Tucson Theatre recently underwent a $13 million restoration and renovation including new (state of the art) multi-million dollar: audio, lighting and video systems.
My beautiful wife Karen is in real estate. We support a number of charitable causes and organizations and are patrons of the arts here in AZ. Karen, who is the great love of my life, and I were married in November of 2005. I finally have my soul mate by my side. My life is truly blessed.
Growing up I played baseball, football and hockey. I am a diehard Chicago Sports fan (Bears, White Sox, Bulls...Expand for more
and even want the Cubs to do well except when they play the White Sox).
I was the CEO of an international asset management company based at the Chicago Mercantile Exchange and previously lived on Chicago's Magnificent mile (between Lake Michigan & North Michigan Avenue).
I have been a vegetarian since I was 14 years old. I am extremely passionate about music (I am a multi-instrumentalist: guitar, keyboards, bass, vocals, percussion & audio production). Todd Rundgren, the brilliantly talented, prolific (and drastically under-appreciated) eclectic artist, is easily my greatest musical influence. Over the years I have played in a number of bands and owned a Chicago-based audio production company back in the '80s.
I go to as many concerts and performing arts events as possible no matter where my extensive travels take me around the world (thoughout Asia, Europe, South America & North America.)
