Michael's Story
I have been a union electrician for 47 years, retired now for 13 of them. I belong to IBEW Local 309 in Collinsville, Il.
I spent 30 of those years building new traffic signal intersections and maintaining them for IDOT and many municipalities in Ill & Mo.
I was involved in Cub Scouts as a leader for 7 years and coached recreational and select teams for youth soccer for 13 years. I am also active in Signal Hill Lutheran Church in Belleville. It is indeed a blessing to have one of those ...Expand for more
kids from yesteryear come to me now and tell me what a positive influence I had on them.
Now that we are retired, we spend time helping our four kids and 4 grandchildren. We do a bit of traveling. Our most favorite destinations are Branson, Las Vegas and Hawaii.
I have had a rich and fulfilling life with my wife Sarah, whom I have been married to for 47 years. We have survived ups and downs, potholes and bumps, also many blessed events. We look forward to many more years of just havin' fun.
