Michael's Story

Life Time/your life goes by so very dam fast I hardly had time enough to realize just how fast it really goes by. I do leave a poem just for all those ladies & it goes like this>>> the poem is titled simply LOVE. Love needs time & love needs you. But most of all love needs you. For without you, there is no time or love!!! School It all began at some school in Burrowsville, Virginia. Then I can remember Walton Elementary & then L.L. Beasley. Let's see then came Prince George Junior High at J.E.J. Moore. Last it was Prince George High at the old high school which is very close by to the new high school that my younger brother graduated from. His name is Steven Mark Holden. I know I offically did not graduate from high school because>>> well let me explain... Let me tell you that I did try to finish my senior year at Prince George High but my mother remarried & we moved to Chesterfield County(Thomas Dale High). I moved in with my oldest sister so I could finish high school but the school found out that my legal guardian resided in Chesterfield County & no longer Prince George. They told me I could no longer attend Prince George High. I was devistated to say the least. I had a 1968 Chevelle Super Sport that would pass everything on the highway but the police & the gas stations. My high school sweetheart(my very first love) Vicky Hardman was there who I first met & started dating the year before in 1972. I remember when they first told me I could no longer attend school at Prince George & I broke down in tears. They sent me straight to the guidance c...Expand for more
ounselor's office where this jerk explained to me that after high school everyone will move on with their lives anyway. I tried going to Thomas Dale High but it only lasted about 2 or 3 weeks. I did'nt fit in anymore & did not know one single person. I cannot tell you how many times I have dreamed about not being able to graduate from Prince George High School. I always find myself wandering the hallways & trying to find the right class room. I did receive my GED from attending Isothermal Community College in Spindale, N. C. I only needed 3 more credits to graduate high school. I know I was'nt very popular back then but I do remember having a few good friends & some very nice teachers. I did stay on the honarable mention list by maintaining a 3.0 grade average. I always made two A's & three B's instead of three A's & two B's which is honor roll~)-: College B4 I could attend any college the very 1st thing I found out was that I only needed 3 credits in order 2 obtain my GED or adult high school diploma. I quickly achieved this at the community college I wished 2 enroll at named Isothermal Community College in Spindale, N.C. in 1975 at the tender age of 20. I had quit high school in my senior year back home in Prince George, Va. I was supposed 2 gradu8 in 1973. Workplace I have been a Union Carpenter(local 613) for the Mid-Atlantic Regional Council of Carpenters since October of 1989. I currently am employed & working for The W. M. Jordan Company building the Hampton Roads Convention Center right behind the Hampton Coliseum next to Interstate 64.
