Michael's Story
Life
Since HS I have worked for the Nassau County Police Department. I have worked patrol, plain clothes unit, ambulance paramedic, helicopter paramedic, paramedic instructor, police instructor at the police academy, was involved with the implementation of the Computer aided Dispatch system, was assigned to the Public information Office, dealing with the media. I was a Detective, having worked in the First squad in Baldwin and the Sixth squad in Manhasset. I completed my career assigned to the Forensic Evidence Bureau, Rogues Gallery section in Headquarters in Mineola. Now retired after 33 years in the NCPD
I've been married twice, first for 7 years with two daughters. The second and present for 25 years complete with three step-sons...Expand for more
(more mine then their natural fathers). The oldest son is assistant director of the IT division of the US Energy Department, Second oldest works with a security firm in Maryland, Third oldest is a VP of Business Lending company, Centerline financing , oldest daughter is an attorney and graduate of St. Johns Law, and the youngest daughter is a special education teacher in the Henrico County School system in Virginia and is finishing her masters in special education. 5 Grandkids with room for growth!!
My wife also worked for the police department as a Paramedic Supervisor with 25 years of service. We both retired in August 2007 and moved off of Long Island relocating to Milton, Delaware. Delaware reminds me of Long Island 40 years ago.
