More about Michael:"I am half Tolowa Indian and half Irish-Welsh. I grew up in a small town north of Bakersfield CA. It was a small town of about 85 people and everybody knew everyone. I guess that would make me a full fledged countryboy? I enjoy collecting recipes and creating delicious dishes. I also do plastic canvas and needlepoint. I make my own style of candles and jewelry. I joined the Marine Corps in 1970 and did a tour of a year and a half in Vietnam. I came home in 1974 thinking I was a hero and got treated with disrespect because of the opinion of people. I had been called a murderer and baby killer by many American citizens and even had one walk up and spit in my face. Unless people were there to see the many atrocities and horrors of war, they have no earthly idea of the daily things we had to endure. I still have nightmares about the combat we went through, I remember killing a 15 year old VC soldier and looking into his eyes as he lay dying from the shot from my weapon. I also lost many buddies over there including a friend I went through Boot Camp with. He died in my arms and bled to death. It was horrible watching him die and not being able to save him. I now live in Biloxi MS with my wife and we are Independent Herbalife distributors and also do arts and crafts, We attend New Life Family Church and are involved there as well.
