Michael's Story
Hi.
If you're reading this then you're probably an MA classmate of mine from 1960.
Mechanic Arts is a special name that would make me smile, if I were to ever hear it from someone. I mean what else could it be, but one place! I remember remembering the fresh smells of the building on the first day of school each year. Actually, I found the first-day experience intimidating. I also remember having to run around and around that little park in front of the school, and the fresh bread smell. I also remember making nitroglycerine in the Chemistry lab behind the teacher's desk. When it started to react, they had to call the Fire Department and evacuate the school. I wasn't alone and that's not all. Perhaps some of you remember more.
What have I been doing the last 50 or so years?

Navy (Memphis, Norfolk)
1966 - Returned to U of M and received engineering degree in 1969
1970 - 1995 Chicago, Northern subs, computer systems planning
1995 - 2009 New York City, Wall Street, IT contract negotiation
2009 - Retired from employment. Still in NYC. Photo is Sept. 2009
Currently:
Fitness, healthy foods, getting enough sleep, studying biblical texts as texts. Leading the discussions in an on-line religion, philosophy and politics forum. I spend much of my volunteer time as the managing editor publishing articles for arguably the largest core of technology resources in the world. I'm currently single. I spend a lot of time with my 18 yr old daughter who lives close by. She spends over 30 hours a week on the ice training for the Olympics. I'd be very happy to talk with everyone I can remember at a 50th reunion.
Regards.
Michael
