Michael (Mike)'s Story
It is hard to believe that it has been 52 years since high school. After graduation I took the summer and worked in the lookout tower on Pine Mt. and then in 1964 I did a walk on try out with the Eugene Emeralds. Played 1 summer and then went into the Army in 1965. Spent 3 years. Come home in October of 1968 and went to work as a Carpet layer for the next 10 years . My wife Susie and I started our own Carpet store in Keizer. Econemy tanked and had to close the store in 1981. and then become manager of Grantree Furniture here in Salem. Grantree closed all of it's stores in 1986. I went to work for Wagers Trailer Sales in 1986. Where I worked until I retired in September of 2005.

h out this country. We enjoy trips to the coast or we like central and eastern oregon as well.
While I was in the Army I started coaching Little League Baseball in the spring and summer. Then when I got home I found a league here in Salem and continued to coach and just retire from coaching 2 years ago. My last 7 years was High School level. Coached at Gervis , Silverton for 5 years and North Salem. I was the pitching coach at all three high schools . At Silverton I was the pitching coach for freshman JV and Varsity. I raveled with the Varsity.
in 1995 I joined the Salem Northeast Lions Club. I am the currant Prisident of the club. (for the eleventh time).
