Michael's Story

Hi, all. After graduation, I moved back to Cape Cod, took a couple of years off just working and goofing off, then went to Cape Cod Community College 1972-1974. I transferred to UMass-Amherst and graduated with a BA English in 1976. I wanted to be a writer, but I didn't have the discipline, ended up working at dead-end jobs until I began work at Packaging Industries in Hyannis in 1986. Within two years I was the Senior Planner and Master Scheduler and worked there for 13 years, gaining ...Expand for more
certification in inventory control and production planning. I worked briefly at Teradyne in Boston, Rockwell International in South Carolina, then five years at Benthos in Falmouth, MA. I am currently working for Falmouth Scientific in Cataumet, MA, and I am also an agent for AFLAC insurance (since 2005). I live in Centerville, where I have owned my home since 1994. I was married for five years, divorced in 1997. My beautiful little Chihuahua, Duke, died this July, 2009, at 17 years old.
