Michael's Story
Attended Colorado School of Mines, graduating with a BS in Chemical and Petroleum Refining in 1972. Began career with Northern Petrochemical Company in Morris, Illinois in September 1972. Survived numerous name changes, mergers, and take-overs for 27 years, retiring in February 2000. Participated in the design, construction, startup, and operation of a grass-roots Polypropylene plant based on BASF Novolen technology, and a Linear Low-density Polyethylene plant based on Union Carbide Unipol technology.
I married my wife Jean in October 1982 and gained a 5 year old stepdaughter, Tomie Lise. In April 1984, our daughter Amelia Therese was born. We divorced in 1989.

fficer, and past president of Lunker's Unlimited Bass Club in Mokena, Illinois. Now I prefer to fun-fish, and look forward to teaching my 2 granddaughters the life-long joys fishing can offer.
I am so fortunate that my parents are still alive and well in the house we moved to in 1965 when we left Oklahoma. I get back to Applewood once or twice a year to visit them and my sister Debbie (WRHS,1972) and her family. All three of their grandkids got married within 11 months, and my stepdaughter was the photographer for 2 of the weddings.
When not enjoying the company of my granddaughters, I spend my time renovating my home and my daughter's home (thanks to 30 years of "This Old House"), or keeping the vehicles serviced and repaired. I love to follow the stock market, and am addicted to CNBC.
