Michael's Story
No sooner than I graduated I was drafted I did have a deferment, but I convinced my self they would never put me in combat so off to adventure land Vietnam. I ended up a certified sniper lots of the guys would flunk out of the training. I guess that daisy bb rifle I use to shoot out windows paid off for advance training lol. I remember the Super Duper store on Woodman the clerks chased me thru the field next door. I quess that was my escape and evade pre training. I'm on the history channel somewhere CBS filmed us in the iron triangle. I don't watch it since its still in my head lol At least Uncle sam pays me for those memories. I vacationed in europe couple of times in summer just missed getting blown up at victoria station when irsh were doin there thing then. I let one ...Expand for more
buss go by to ride a double decker bus and missed the comotion. I was going there to change some money in to pounds. I've been a printer , caseworker/social worker and now a postal worker my fellow workers say I should never say I'm a worker lol I used my gi bill to go to college and generous motors paid for another two years. Oh I forgot my 3 years at GM. My wife and I been on lot of cruises I think if I won the lotto I would live on one. My brother has some sail boats can't picture being on one of them on a ocean to intimidating. My brother went with me on last cruise think he's hooked on them now he going with us this Jan. we like to drive straight down to flordia and listen to Oldies all way. Oh I fall asleep at the wheel alot so that livens up the ride. to be continued
