Michael's Story
Hey all you "Warriors" - Attended Jacksonville State College (AL) 61-65. Met my wife while there (still married to the "southern belle"). Commissioned Artillery in the Army - Airborne - assignments with 101st Abn Div and 173rd Abn Brigade in Vietnam '67-'68 (forward observer with an infantry company). Did second tour with Military Assistance Command - Vietnam in 72-73 just south of Da Nang (there after cease fire). Assigned to Germany '79-'82 in K-Town and Frankfurt. Visited Wiesbaden on several occasions (commissary, golf course) and was able to show my children where a great year of my life was spent. Tour...Expand for more
s in Atlanta, the D.C. area, Augusta, and finally Redstone Arsenal, Alabama where I retired at rank of Colonel in '92 - don't asked how I made it that far - I'm still pondering that. Three children, no pets, golf addict and enjoy the casinos (penny slots) from time to time. Am totally retired, play golf 3-4 times a week, read for enjoyment for the first time in my life, and piddle around the house. Hey, I still have my Senior Class beer stein with all our names on it - how many of you have that? How about couch "Red" Ryder. Whatever became of him? Great time, great memories, wish you all health and well being.
