Michael's Story
Hi everybody-
Most of you might not know this, so I'll begin with what was happening in my head when I left high school. All I could think about at the time was that I wanted to go to to college and continue to play football. Learning and playing were two drives in my life at that time. In my first two years of college I met some coaches, students, teachers and counselors that helped direct me to a path of physical education. I transferred to Cal Poly SLO. It was there that I was introduced to physical therapy. I transferred to the nearest physical therapy school at CSUN/UCLA. I met my wife Monica at Northridge Hospital Medical Center and we enjoyed a first date going to a Dodger vs. Astros game in the back of ...Expand for more
a pickup truck with 8 other friends on August 3rd. I graduated with my degree in physical therapy in 1980. I married Monica on February 28, shortly after taking my state board examinations for my California physical therapy license. We made it back to Santa Barbara in 1984 and Monica gave birth to our first child Anthony in 1988. We celebrated the birth of our second child, Peri and the launching of our private practice, Active Physical Therapy in 1996. Active Physical Therapy has been located at 3040 State Street since October of 2003. We expanded our operation in 2006 with the start of Lifelong Mobility, Inc. and the addition of a second practice location at Vista del Monte at 3775 Modoc Road in Santa Barbara.
