Michael Kevin's Story
Life,
For the most part I have remained living in Alaska. I have been working on a degree in IT with thoughts of a MS in homeland security and/or engineering. I finally got my associates degree in computers with emphasis in CAD operations. It may have taken a long time but I just did not know what I wanted to be when I grew up. Of course then again I may still change my mind once more.
I've also had a problem , like so many others', with alcohol/substance. I have had to make certain life changes that can, only be said, as good for me in the end. I have lost some 70 lbs w/ hopes of losing another 30-40 more. As of today, I am 63; looking to another birthday soon...
I did finally get my Associates degree and it only took me 20 year to do so... haha
For the future, I have been looking into continuing on to a BS degree in computers and perhaps furthing on to a masters in homeland security.
I like to work with my hands, building, painting art, carving ivory, and beading jewelry. I have some of it posted in facebook.
Perhaps in time I will even make a few contacts with some of you, who, it seems like a long time now, I called friends.
God Bless each and everyone of you, no matter where HE takes you.

people watcher. It was easy for me to be prejudicial of people as a young man. After all, they were pretty prejudiced toward me because of my epilepsy... some of my estranged family saw me as having fits. Some of my high school friends thought I was just a pill head. Now when life gets pretty complicated for me or I see another person with some of the problems I saw in myself I remember to "Breathe" remember 'No breath, no life.'
As I said here before, I have been working as a merchandiser placing bread on the shelves in local stores in South Central Alaska for nearly 11 years. But also love to draw, bead jewelry and am looking forward to retiring and perhaps opening my own beaded jewelry store or at least selling it online and at the local fairs as I will have the time to go to them.
Am learning to let much of bad things of my past go... I have come to the conclusion holding on to the past clouds the future and can cause damage to my dreams. With that in mind I do not mean getting rid of all past memories but choosing to ignore the bad ones so I make myself into a grateful blessed man with wonderful written into my next fifty years... haha
Here we are again, facing another new year of possibilities, wonders and blessings.
