I moved to Colorado Springs in the early seventies and went to school at Carmel Jr. High (Harrison district) then went to high school at Air Academy, St. Mary's, and Doherty High Schools. I should've graduated in '77 but I liked to party and skip school too much, so 10th grade took me three tries :) After I resolved to finish high school I did it the smart way. I still skipped and partied a lot, but I made sure I always had good grades. I figured out they'll let you stay around if you're always on the honor roll. :) In 1984 I moved from Colorado Springs to Limon Colorado to work for a friend at a Napa Parts store. I worked there for a year or two then bought an Amoco service station and started my career as a self-employed auto mechanic. I wound up staying out in the Limon area for about 12 years.
