Michael's Story
I only recently returned to look at this website. I have noted that many of our school mates have passed away and thank those who have tracked the loss of our friends and acquaintances. Somehow classmates has entered me twice as if there had been two of us. That is of little importance. I have been curious over the years where so many of us have gone and what we've done. I actually worked with a few of our fellow graduates. David (Mike) Ellis worked for the LA Co. Sheriff's Department for some time and I have heard since that he passed away. I worked there for 34 years and was blessed to have had many exciting and rewarding assignments in those years. The best two jobs were Homicide Bureau and the SWAT teams (Special Enforcement Bureau). e great assignments too but not like the first two. I retired as an Area Commander in the Detective Division Headquarters. I have two sons, 3 grandchildren and a great dog keeping me occupied these days. My eldest son Patrick just retired from the same organization I worked for. He would have been my boss had I still been working and retired as the Chief of Detective Division. Wow! My younger son Brian is a Captain for a Fire District in Douglas County Nevada. Patrick's son is an Airline Pilot. Brian's son is also a Fire Fighter in Nevada and his daughter is a 911 dispatcher in Washau County NV. I am proud of them all! My first marriage lasted 14 years and my second lasted 19 years. I'm either not too good at that or made poor choices?
I would like to read what others have done. Some I remember fondly and others not so much so. Mike
