Michael's Story
I finally upgraded to a gold membership, so I can finally see those messages you have been leaving me and actually respond to them!
Here is my story since graduating from Marysville HS in 1973: I became an EMT in 1975, a paramedic in 1977, and recieved my B.S. in Emergency Medical Technology in 1981 from Madonna College. I also became an EMS instructor the same year. I was married to Gerilyn Roos, an E.R. nurse, in October 1995. I left EMS in the Fall of 1996 and entered the Physician Assistant program at the University of Detroit Mercy. I received my M.S. in August 1998, and was certified in General Practice and Surgery in December 1998. I am currently working a...Expand for more
t William Beaumont Hospital in Troy, MI in the Department of Surgery. I also serve on a federal disaster team, MI-1 DMAT, part of the National Disaster Medical System which is currently through the Department of Health and Human Services. I still enjoy cars, SCUBA diving and sailing -and have recently resumed skiing after a several year hiatus due to a knee injury. I sailed in my 28th Port Huron to Mackinac Race in July 2008 with Scott Jones and John Shirkey. I am also a pilot, as is my wife, Geri. We live in Warren with our daughter, Kimberly Lynn (born 11/24/01) and our golden retriever, Starr. I look forward to hearing from all of you -it has been far too long!
