Michael's Story

I grew up in Eagle Idaho. Attended Lowell Scott Jr, High and then Meridian High. Got kicked out 2nd to last Quarter for fighting and was told that I could keep attending school but would not receive the credits I needed to Graduate, and would not graduate with my class. But could return the following year and take the credits I needed and receive my diploma. Being the stubborn Hard Ass I was I said see ya and went and got my GED in one day at BSU and Joined the Marine Corps. I spent 8 yrs in the Corps and served in to conflicts and then EASed. Went to Nevada and worked in the Mines for 6 yrs then moved to Arizona. Became a Arizona State Correctional Officer and Joined the Army NG and did 3 years in the Sandbox in Iraq as a Military Policeman. Saw things and did things that no human should ever have to see or do. I am Medically Retired after 18 years of Service to and for this Great Country we call Home. Most of you probably remember me as this muscular but skinny kid who was wild and crazy and in trouble all the time. Well the military changed that and I have become ...Expand for more
a Well rounded and educated Meat Head who lives in the Gym. I have recently gotten back into my wrestling background through Brazilian Jiu Jitsu and am loving it. I have 3 children and am a Grandfather from my Oldest daughter Amanda who is Married to a Former Marine and now is a Police Officer. My Middle daughter Shayna is a track star in Idaho Falls and my Son Dustyn is 13 years old. I am a disabled Vet and ride for the POW/MIA Motorcycle Organization with Pride. I have learned through all the Crap that I have been through to truly see how Blessed we all are to be where we are at and that we need to appreciate everything we have such as family, friends and loved ones and thank God everyday for the Blessings we have. Live each day at a time and dont stress over the petty stuff because allot of men and women (some of who I knew and served with didnt make it home) and allot of us came home very messed up and trying to somewhat become that person we were before we left. So to anyone who reads this God Bless and God Speed to all of you and yours. Semper Fi and HooooaH!
