Michael's Story
Life
Well, life is strange. I dropped out of college to join the Army, wound up in Germany (C 4/69 don't you know!), transferred Stateside (back to the world), got out, got married, joined the Navy, retired, and seven (7) years later,I was back in college.
I have my bike back up (1989 FXSTC, stripped down to the frame rebuild), have a degree in hand, and looking for that "two cars and a mortgage." Already got the mortgage, though.
My youngest is due to re-deploy back to Afghanistan or Iraq next year; he's been to Iraq three times and ...Expand for more
Afghanistan once. War sucks the youth out of a country.
I find myself suspisiosly eyeing anyone over 16 eyeing my granddaughters. Who would have thought I'd have granddauhgters, much less act the protective ogre. As much of a horndog as I was, certainly not me. I guess 29 years of marriage give one a different perspective.
I wonder what my old friends are doing now? If any of you out there remember C.P. (that would be me) or Lip (that's who I am now), email me.
