Michael's Story

Life First of all, I would like to encourage any and all of you to sign up for facebook. The account is free and they don't keep sending you emails to sign up for their gold service. Do it today! I am a very creative person - I enjoy practicing taxidermy on the dogs and cats that my wife brings home from the animal shelter - where she volunteers. In my opinion, Frankenmuth is the most romantic place on earth next to Paris - and I'm not saying that just because I love their chicken so much. YUM! Attention everyone! My favorite color is now GREEN not blue. Am I the only one who hates it when he burns his tounge on hot chocolate or the stove? Being a parent has helped put my life in perspective. I still think of myself first, but now it's accompanied by occasional guilt. To all of you who ignored me in school -- you don't know what you've missed! (Not that I am bitter or anything like that) Workplace Michael Pfaendtner is a video editor living and working in the Detroit area. His interest in non-fiction film goes back over twenty years to 1979 when he made his first documentary, a college film entitled Auction Sale. Since then he has independently produced documentaries on a variety of unusual topics. All Sales Final documented an annual convention held...Expand for more
by the Michigan Funeral Directors Association while Roadside Attractions paid a visit to Prehistoric Gardens, the self-proclaimed “Greatest Dinosaur Park in the World”. Iwo Jima Diary, an illustrated oral history of one of World War II’s most ferocious battles is his most ambitious project to date, taking almost two years to complete. In addition to winning several awards, the film has appeared on local Public Television stations across Michigan as well as throughout Canada. Following that, he completed Texas Hospitality, a documentary short examining the final meal requests of ten executed offenders from the Lone Star State. The film went on to become an audience favorite, screening at festivals around the country. He met filmmaker Paul Daniels following his return from the South Pole in 2002 while standing in line at the Unemployment Office. That first casual conversation lead to the making of Living in the Shadow of the Moon-Dog, a personal video diary that was five years in the making. The film had long delays resulting from Paul’s extended deployments around the world. Simultaneously, he served as co-producer and editor on the documentary feature, The Separation on State Street, examining a modern-day witch trial in a rural Michigan town.
