Michael's Story
OK, this is going to be a work in progress so it's not going to be pretty for a while.
After all the 74' graduation parties, the post graduation parties and the post, post graduation parties I headed off the UW to become a Civil Engineer. Right. Once I got a look at the math and science requirements of that program I said "nope, don't think so" and switched to Building Construction which was just a bit more my speed. Had science and math (but not calculus based) but also included business and stuctual analysis and all kinds of other cool stuff that sounded good to me. So, I spent the next 4 years working on that program, lived in the dorms at Haggett Hall for my soph and jr. years and graduated in the Summer of 1978 with a BS (I've always thought that to be appropriate...)in BCon.

e family business during the summers and vacations and learned that business inside and out. I also started climbing/mountaineering and continued to practice and polish my partying/drinking/420 skills, becoming quite the expert at the latter, I must say.
Toward the end of my Jr. year I met a girl whose sister lived on my floor. Met her at a dorm doof party just a few doors down from my dorm room. It's a good story but for another day...
Anyway, we fell in love quite unexpectedly and 4 months later were engaged. After that I moved out of the dorms to an apartment back up in the old equipment yard behind my family's house. By that time all of the paving equipment had been moved down to the asphalt plant on 96th between 8th and Des Moines Way. So, it was quiet and I was away from the other college girls, party scene and all of the other distractions that I had become far too mature to care about anymore...
