Michael's Story
I made a career of the Air Force for 20 years and retired in 1987. Went back to college and received a BS degree in Computer Science. After another 22 years of my second career, I am now fully retired. Life has been pretty good. I did survive a helicopter crash. I've had heart bypass surgery; and, I'm doing great. Even after all these years, my friends say I don't look my age. I don't feel it either. I have two sons and 4 grandchildren with my first great grand child on the way. I live just to the North of Orlando, Florida. I spent nearly all my Air Force career in the Norther tier of the United States. I did have a stint in Vietnam after becoming a Weapons Test Control Officer. So, I decided enough cold weather; and, I left for Florida.

ife has been far from boring. I was fortunate to have a "special" Air Force career. I was involved in Research and Development on many different weapons systems - missiles, gravity weapons, laser platforms, strategic defense initiative, flight test operations, and I could go on and on. My career in IT started on a huge IBM Mainframe and went to the development of new languages for micro-computers and chip sets. I have a lot of knowledge wrapped up in my brain - who would have thought a "jock" that got just above average grades would end up working so hard to collect data and analyze it for creating weapons to protect the Nation. Life is crazy.
Now, I'm retired and doing a whole hew set of activities. More on those new activities later..
