After graduating from Del Mar, I tried college but was full of energy and wanted to get out and travel and find excitement. Ever since I could remember, I wanted to be in the army and become a green beret. This as I look back was foolish, but I have to admit I loved the training and getting pushed to the edge and back. After training for a year I was shipped with my team to Vietnam where I spent 2 years in the jungle with a native tribe in the central highlands and then in the delta with a "B" team training south Vietnam rangers or "mike strike" force. I sustained injuries and was retired out. I then came home and tried college again.
