Michael's Story

Life Now living in Casa Grande Arizona. Life has been good to me. I haven't always realized it at the time but looking back i've been very fortunate. I wish I had taken a moment now and again to realize how great life was at the moment rather than worrying about tommorow. Since school i've been busy. Went to college for a while and tired of what I thought was unnecessary delays in my future. So, I dropped out of college (accounting major) and went to work for a small conglomerate that owned gas stations. Then in 1988 I started a bookkeeping company, my grandmother passed away (we were very close), broke up with my fiance, met and married my first wife. It was quite a year. After we got married we sold our bookkeping service and moved to Gardnerville Nevada and I went to work at Harvey's Casino as a staff auditor. While I was there I started to do clown shows for the casino. I realized that there was a need for clowns in the area and by the end of 1989 we had performed for every casino in Tahoe and most in Reno. We moved back to Vallejo that year to start our clown company as a full time endeavor. Ended up traveling all accross the country doing shows mostly for state and county fairs. To those of you who knew me in school i'm sure you would have never guessed i'd turn out to be the class clown. In 2000 my wife and I divorced. I'm remarried now. run our clown company which now employs 5 people and have started an event managment business that provides management services to fairs. I have one daughter, actually a step daughter from my first marriage. she was 7 when we got married and we are very close. My only other child is our poodle dog. She too is spoiled. I still spend a lot of time on the road but come to Vallejo when i can. Funny how some things have changed and others have remained. I'm glad though it reminds me of a time when life was a little simpler for all of us. I decided to write this tonight, a week before my 37th birthday because when we were in school I wasn't smart enough to open up. Didn't share as much of myself as i could have and I believe I missed out on part of life and maybe part of a great friendship with you because of it. My plan for the future. Enjoy the past, savor the moment and wait for the future, it will get here soon enough. And, it will bring with it memories of today. I'll add them to my memories of you and hope that at some point we will reconnect. My hope for you is that all the joy possible finds you. And that should you ever need to brighten your day you'll think back to your time at Vallejo High and remember your briefcase carrying, uniform wearing, book studying classmate who turned out to be the class clown in the end and that the memory will bring a smile to your face!
