Michael's Story
Recently got married to the love of my life Tina. Never thought I would find someone so wonderful at this time in my life. We enjoy each other and enjoy the things we have in common yet respect our individual interests. Pretty damn cool.
Serving my sixth 4-year term as the Township Clerk for Green Oak Charter Township near Brighton Michigan. Retired in 2021 from Green Oak Fire Department after 31 years. Retired from Livingston County EMS after 14 years. Became a wedding Officiant and have done over sixty weddings, Serve on Executive Committee and Budget & Finance Committee for South Eastern Council of Governments, (SEMCOG). Also serve on Board of Directors for Michigan Municipal Risk Management Authority and Chairperson of the Board of Managers Greenstone Insurance Company.
Had two children, Cathi & Todd. My daughter Cathi passed suddenly in 2017, it's a hole in your heart that cannot be filled. I have five grandchildren, Hans, Rowan, Stepanie, Svea, Elsa.

entor Bill Clawson when I was 16. I bought the car back after going through nine owners. Started racing it winning all three races my first outing with the car. Ran the car at Daytona Speedway in January 2023 for the Rolex Heritage Race. Collect classic cars and vintage race the 68 Mustang and a 70 Boss 302 Mustang. It's always been about the cars.
Really enjoy backpacking in the national parks and have been to all of the major ones including a three-day hike across the Grand Canyon from North rim to South rim. Did a five day 40-mile Appalachian Trail hike in 2020 and 35 mile over four days in 2021. 2023 did a week in Utah hiking in Bryce and Zion. Would like to move to Pagosa Springs Colorado when I retire. Need to finish up visiting all fifty states by going to Delaware and Rhode Island after I retire.
Contracted Hep-C from a blood transfusion when I was 19 which surfaced in 2009. Took the treatment, worse than the Hep, but beat the odds and have been Hep-C free since 2011. Making sure to enjoy each day as tomorrow isn't promised.
