Michael's Story

-A Soldier's Life Story I thought I used to rule the world When slept out under the stars The sun would rise just for me When I used to sail the open seas Nights, I used to own the streets Protect them all, with no moon light The crowd often sang our praise As we would roll through the towns Our armies ran to defend and protect You could see the fear, in our enemies Once, I was even honored by a King Back then, I thought I ruled the world We were as emissaries on foreign soils Building so many castles in there sands With our words revolutions died down And when we left, I knew of no honest man There was a time I protected world leaders Then, everyone used to call us a friend Most days I controlled oh, so many lives Then on one, my world crashed around Suddenly, my head exploded, my body limp Remembering the thundering Calvary past, as Sounds of guns and drums shattered windows Many wept as the church bells rang loudly When I arrived up above the clouds My armor and weapons laid out polished But, for some reason, I'll never know Everyone was telling me to go back Some people often still recall my name And ask where I've been, but I'm not sure So now, every morning, I wake alone Just feeling lost, confused, old and grey Michael K Written: 13 May 2013 -Moonlight-n-Stars, Knights-on-Beaches, Roses-n-You Cool breezy tropical nights, tickle and chill Toes twisting in white satin sandy beaches With the fires warmth, I still pull you closer Too many dreams, and stars under moonlight Cuddling close, with you, stirs my passions The tenderest touches and light caresses Your eyes do sparkle and dance among them Tweaking a geeks thoughts towards verboten The red wine ...Expand for more
moistens across your red lips Glistening full and pouty, me staring aimless Making my heart skip beats, justly wanting Sparkling images anew, amidst my dreams Then there's those dozens of red velvet roses Because I buy, you treasure more than I know And as always, here's me, next to you, again Thinking much about it, and being next to me Holding hands, making so many memories Wanderlust heart reposes, the dreams Under the moonlight, hearts and minds With beautiful thoughts, a kiss discloses Moonlight-n-roses, Will bring memories of you Michael K -Heroes, Horses, and Dreams of Love... I was told stories of Heroes on White Horses And that's all I ever dreamed of Rescuing Princess, then dancing thru night And finding my own True Love But, it seems as you start growing older Those dreams lose their light, and the glow As if they were picked up and held too often Then you forget to take them out one day The Heroes and Horses in their shining armor And the Princess's have all gone their way I've waited just a little too long, now to realize I forgot to be the one coming to save your day I've spent too much time building the Castles On these distant Sands, that washed to sea I thought I had been forging our tomorrows Now, Aged, I'm still looking, longing to find you As I stand here and stare, just glare in the mirror Waiting to see my Princess, longing for her kiss But, I find myself standing, standing all alone Wondering how, when, where... did I pass you by I still hold to stories of Heroes on White Horses And rescuing the Princess, holding her till light I know she's still out there... waiting for her Hero Hoping to find True Love writing across the Sands Michael K
