Michael's Story

Life I retired in 2004 and am living (with my wife, Betty) in Loomis, California (near Sacramento). After I graduated I attended WSU, and Dodge City JC, (majoring in Rock & Roll) I was contacted by Uncle Sam and spent 4 years in the U.S. Navy. I recently retired from the U.S. Geological Survey (after 32 years of service) and am looking forward to some world (and US) travel. I still play guitar (with a few other old guys:) here in Loomis and do some scuba diving (when the water is warm). Hope to hear from old friends! -Mike Mil...Expand for more
itary I went to U.S. Navy Boot camp in SanDiego CA, then to Pensacola, FL for CT T-branch A school (about a year). From there was stationed at Kamiseya Japan for about 2 years. During my stay there the USS Pueblo was captured and an EC-121 was shot down (with some buddies) by North Koreans. In spite of that, had a great time in Japan and left with good memories and lots of friends. I spent nearly a year at NSGA Skaggs Island, California, and after I got out, decided that I liked the weather in California and have stayed here ever since.
