Michael's Story
Timeline:
Incarcerated in Marie Schaefer Home for the Criminally Insane for tearing off "Do Not Remove" tag from mattress, 1961-70.
Due to clerical error, remanded to custody of Our Lady of Perpetual Perspiration and released.
Held at OTHS, 1970-74. (My friend from out of town didn't know what OTHS stood for and thought the "M" was accidentally omitted and that we were the "Fighting Moths.")
Attended SIU-E for no apparent reason, 1974-1981. Graduated without honors with BA and MS in Industrial/Organizational Psychology. That and a quarter will get you a cup of coffee.

Employed as Anti-Reflective Coating technician by Mueller Optical, 1997-2001. Mueller sold to Hoya Vision Care 2001. Retired as Coating Laboratory Manager, 2014.
Hobbies and Interests: sitting in the the dark drinking heavily and brooding over past resentments, scoffing at the "food police" and cooking mass quantities of food and serving it to fellow chowhounds. Specialties of the House: smoked standing rib roast with steak butter, grilled pizza.
Major accomplishments: not being found in the truck of my car at the airport.
