Michael's Story
Well after graduating from Western High School in 1974, I went to college for a few years in Raleigh NC. First Shaw University for one year and then transfered to Saint Augustine's College which is also in Raleigh NC. In the spring of 1980 I came back to DC and worked as a temp for a year at Group Health Association's claims department.
In 1981 I decided to join the Navy and see the world. I went to basic training in Olando Florida. After basic training I went to class A supply school in Meridian Missisippi. After supply school, it was off to the fleet in San Diego, CA. where I was stationed on the USS Mount Vernon LSD-39. I got the chance to go on three Western Pacific cruises to places like Hawaii, Japan, Korea, Austrailia and the Philipines. While stationed on the USS Mount Vernon, I worked in the supply office as the financial records keeper and petty cashier for three years. I only served in the Navy four years and came back to DC in the summer of 1985. I got a job as a temp at this small law firm at the time as a mail clerk. Twenty three years later I'm still at that law firm. I've been in charge of the supply department at Wiley Rein LLP for the last twenty years. I'm a big sports fan. I liked watching Football, Tennis, Track and Field, and Basketball. I'm really into watching Womens college and Professional basketball. I got into watching womens basketball my freshman year of college at Shaw University and have been a big fan of the womens game every since. In my spare time when I want to relax, I like listening to Jazz music. Some of my hobbies are digital photography, watching movies (especially blueray), playing video games and building desktop computers.
I never got married and I don't have any kids. So I'm still free and single. I plan to post a photo sometime in the near future. I like taking pictures but not so much of myself.
