Michael's Story
In March, 2005, I was named Executive Director of the Kern County Taxpayers Association, after serving 13 years on the organization¿s Board of Directors.
From 1975 to 2005, I was a self-employed businessperson, actively participating in numerous business, political, and civic projects.
I received my Bachelor¿s Degree in Agricultural Economics from the University of California, Davis, graduated from the California A...Expand for more

My wife, Nancy, and I have been married 30 years and have lived in Bakersfield since 1989. We have two grown daughters: Amy is a policy analysist for the Governor in Sacramento and Alissa is a legal assistant for a law firm in Palo Alto.
