Life Went to Boot camp a few weeks after graduation. Went to 44 countries in six years and got shot at a few times. Was married for about 90 seconds to a California girl. It didn't work out, when after about 4 months she said, (paraphrasing), " You know, I beleive you may be a hick, ALL THE TIME!" Got out and moved back to Spicewood, with my now wife. Knocked around for a year or two, not making any money. Took a job with a "Scab" railroad on a wing and a prayer. I got there (Houston) with enough gas to get back home, 81.00$ and no place to stay. We spent nearly a year, me working down there all week, and one of us coming to see the other on weekends. Deanna moved down there with me, when we married. We lived in Baytown, then Porter. I went from the Scab Railroad to Union Pacific, and loved it. They never hired any one behind me, so I would get layed off every spring for a few weeks. Just long enough, to Screw up my credit, and go through what ever savings we had built up the previous year. So the third layoff, I took a job as an electrician/ helper with Brown and Root, and did not return when asked to the railroad.
