Michael's Story
Since high school, I've moved in and out of California several times. I lived in Tumwater, WA and called this area home from 1977 through 2016. In January of 2017, we moved to the Spokane, Wa area.. I've been married to a wonderful lady named Mary since Feb of 1986 and have 3 great kids - a girl and two boys. On 10-10-05, I became a grampa - her name is Kira Lynn! Since then, we have two more granddaughters, Ella and Macy Jane.
I retired from the Washington State Department of Corrections on Jan 1, 2013 after 34 years of service. I started out as a Correctional Officer in January 1979 and ende...Expand for more
d up working in the Prisons Division at DOC headquarters in Tumwater, WA dealing with statewide security issues.
I know it took awhile, but in June of 2005, I obtained my BA from The Evergreen State College. I enjoyed going back to school so much, I almost went on to get my Masters but I had to think of the family - after 3 years of school and work - I think they were actually ready to see me again!.
Photography is one of several hobbies. Wood working and computers are other diversions that I enjoy from time to time.
