Workplace
I settled into welding as a career in 1979. I worked on building a CG&E power plant in Rabbit Hash,KY that year. I found heavy construction to be interesting, and liked to stand back at the end of the day and see what I had accomplished. In the mid '80's I tried my hand as an entrepreneur, and ended up in sales and management, but came back to welding in 1995. I've been a welding contractor for ten years. hing welding at Prosser School of Technology in New Albany,IN and am in my second year teaching. I love it! And I'm in the process of murging my business with a company across the river in Louisville,KY. where I'm working part time in sales. Teaching my trade to these young students is very rewarding. Many of them are going on extended lab this semester and starting on careers of their own. It's a great feeling to see them succeed.
