Michael's Story

Life After graduating from Newfane, I moved to Buffalo the get my bachelors dergee in painting and sculpture. After that I moved to Chicago to pursue a career in sculpture but eventually (1998) moved on to NYC and received my masters degreee in sculpture in 2002. I am still living and sculpting in NYC, have a gallery that represents me (Paul Rodgers 9W) and regularly travel to europe as a visiting artist at various sculpture symposiums. 3, I was the first sculptor to create cast iron sculpture on the streets of NYC as I conducted an "iron pour" on the sidewalk in fron of my gallery, Paul Rodgers 9/W. I am negotiating with the David Letterman Show to do this behind the Ed Sullivan Theater and the city of New York to have a symbolic iron pour atop one of the anchorage towers of the Brooklyn Bridge on the 4th of July. I live in the E.Village - Lower East Side area of NYC where cool people, artists and many short term relationships live and play. I love sculpture and one women in particular and will not be leaving anytime soon. My NYC home phone, address and e-mail are listed and should be obtainable through a people search or Google.
