Michael's Story
Life
The Short: Analog man. Beer tender/coffee maker/tea drinker. Dog walker/cat wrangler. Achiever.
The Long:
Time flies: I'm married [wife K. with a daughter E (now registered voter)] with any number of assorted pets through the years (RIP doggos/cats and guinea pigs of yore). Currently, we have one cat (TOC), one Collie (Ash) and one Blue Tick Hound rescue (Smiley). [When I'm gone, I want to go where dogs go and take it from there.]
I'm still into music [guitar-oriented, eclectic and electric, independent artists, rock/jazz/blues]. Bandcamp suits me fine until I can get back to Vintage Vinyl. I'm still analog with enough records in my basement to start an low-wattage internet radio station.
My wife and I moved to Morris County after the birth of our daughter in 2002. It's OK, but not "the Shore" as I tell her from time to time. Pre-Trump Virus End Times, I worked in NYC with a long commute and a killer schedule. Until normal times return, I work from...Expand for more
my basement with no commute and a killer schedule. I miss the beer sellers of Penn Station.
I survived the momentary mid-life crisis brought on by the 25-year reunion by drinking heavily. [My thanks to my wingman Steve Brunner.] We'll see if I make it to the 50th. or whatever comes next.
High School
My best high school memories are running cross-country with Mr. Popp, working on the newspaper in Mr. Dowling's class, and the many, many nights I spent working at the Red Oak Diner (which was renamed then renamed again and then torn down last I heard).
And, of course, that time I lit my hair on fire at a Fleetwood Mac concert and was saved (reluctantly) by Mark Rose and Bob Rustay.
However, if people really want to know my thoughts on high school (what I can remember) it's going to cost them some beers.
College
Started out at a school in Ohio, transferred back to NJ to go to Trenton State: It took a while but I graduated and paid off my student loans too.
