Michael's Story

I was a party animal and had lots of fun in High school. Played a little football and had tons of friends. When I met my current wife Katherine at 21 I settled down and we have had a great life. I have 2 children and 4 grand kids. I lived in Long Beach till 1991 when we bought our second home in Garden Grove where we still live. I was fortunate to land a job with the The US Government, City of Long Beach and Boeing as an Electrician. Most of my old friends out there would never believe that I turned out well but i did. I retired from Boeing because of a severe back injury but I came out OK financially. I would love to hear from old friends. We love to Camp in a Motor home but the back is getting so bad I may have to give that up. I love taking rides in my Corvette. It's cool when ya get the thumbs up and people want to take pictures of it. I had to sell a couple other vehicles I really loved to get it. It's an oldie but goodie. For those that may remember me you can reach me at boeing46atyahoo.com Remove the at and put in a @. I always wanted to be a success but didn't think about it when I grew up. Most of my friends thought that I was a loser. As it turns out, they were wrong. I love to drive my Vette fast but safe. I will keep the wildest thing I ever did in High School to myself because it involves other people and is very private. If I'm going to work somewhere, I need to have good back, be younger, and stay in shape to be able to deal with the day-to-day. That's not gonna happen Nobody ever did anything to help me. good sense of responsibility. I know every friend I had thought I was kind of a Fonsie with no direction and I only thought day to day rather than the future. I hope people just remember me as a fun dude to hang with. The one person from my past who I'd most like to see again is David Gill, because He was a good friend. I love sports, TV bores me to death. My passions are and always have been my cars and helping my kids do better than I did. I have two beautiful Golden Retrievers and they make my day every day. I wish they didn't shed in my Vette because I love taking them on my drives. If I won $100 million, I'd give half of it to kids and grand kids, then spend the rest on the best back specialist in the world, a new Vette and home for each of my kids. My best friends would tell you I'm loyal, but people who don't know me very well would probably describe me as as not only a great father but one that still puts family first. I share my home with my wife, which I have always considered as the love of my life from the day we met. I share my home with my wife and my Golden Retrievers that we treat like our children. My sons sports trophies from 5 years old though High school show mine and his commitment. In 10 years, I hope to be healthy and active. I'm going to get there by living healthy and try to do the things I've always loved to do. My first job was at a furniture store at 12, where I got paid $1.00 hr. to clean furniture. What I remember most about it is the long trip from Jefferson to N.LB. I had a great hard working Mom that I cherish.
