Life
Hey nothings knew. I am in Ohio. Not the greatest but not the worst place I have lived. I wouldn't mind it so much if my family was here, I could get decent Italian food and someone offered the YES network. My wife and I hit 8 years in October. It's late August and I am settng my classroom up for yet another year. I absolutely love where I am teaching and coaching (track). It's the fifth smallest school district in the state. We graudated more kids in '89 from Arlington then this whole K-12 school has. Mikey has been gone for 9 years next month and Kaitlynn would have been 14 this month. It is always a bittersweet time of year. Keoni's football season always offsets it. He is turning into a monster on the line. He's 270# and only a sophomore. The opposing team...Expand for more
in this week's scrimmage were sending two against him or shifted off his side for blitzes. How proud I am of his hardwork (he's added over 300 pounds ot his combined squat, bench, deadlift in a year) and his willingness to follow the coaches directions have really paid dividends for him. He even made second string varsity. As sad as the time of year is, it's football season and with school starting I get another set of 46 kids to work with. Helps when you love what you do. I haven't had time to see if there is a blog on here so i just figured I would update this area every now and then. Well gotta go. I have to start my running in the morning and my body is screaming at me to go shut down. Wish me luck. I am not the 135 pound spring chicken that graduated in 89 anymore.
