Michael's Story

I felt I was "unique" because my life then was so diverse. I was a surfer, a hunter and a fisher, a gymnist and on the team in 71' I was a wrestler, only for a short while, i played on the tennis team in 70', Mr. Routin was the coach I loved art class, specially the potters wheel, I throughly enjoyed shop classes. Woodworking was my favorate and the teacher, Mr. Curtise was my all time favorate teacher. But at the same time I felt I was a loner. I would skip class in the spring to watch the shad and carp migrate up the creek beside the school and in the winter, I would show up late for class when there were ducks on the lagoon in Lark downs. I walked to school...Expand for more
from Larkspur and would stop off there often to check for ducks and if they were there, I would just hang out and watch them. I was a clown at times in classroom, I don't know why I did but just did maybe it was to cover up my unpreparedness. I would give anything to go back and to do it again the right way but know that is not possible. Mostly, I remember my friends and mostly now at the age of 54 by their faces. The names kinda of fade except for names like Don Hawk, DAvid Routin, Greg Viau, Harry Hall, Michele Praceras, Shella Parker, Susan Adams, Debbie Smith and on and on, what a great time High School was and am greatful for the memories and experiences.
