Michael 's Story
I was a Navy brat. Started in Colorado, grade school at Great Lakes, IL, Pensacola, FL, JrH in Pensacola and San Leandro and HS at Encinal in Alameda, CA.
I moved to Ark. after grad. and started college. Had some adjustments to make but made it and came to love Arkansas.
I met my first wife in college. We married in 1974, moved to Memphis TN where I was enrolled in Optometric College. Spent four years there. Memphis can be a fun city and we enjoyed ourselves. In 1979 I graduated and had our daughter Jessica. Moved to Mountain Home, AR and started practice. Two years later had our son Nicholas and we set up house cleaning.
In 1989 my wife left to find herself, a trip I believe she is still on. So was a sing...Expand for more
le parent for four years. Started coaching and refing soccer for the next 15 years. Helped start and build girls soccer in our town and to some degree our state. Soccer was just becoming popular in Arkansas.
In 1993 married my wife Dona and put our families together. Raised the kids and got them out of the house. We have two beautiful Corps of Engineers lakes and we spent a LOT of time on them during those and these current years.
Dona and I are avid scuba divers and now, as empty nesters, we take two Carribean trips per year and stay on our lakes AMAP(as much as possible).
Don't think retirement is in the near future as half my savings went with first wife and now my 401s are 104s, so will continue to carry on.
