Michael Shriver:  

Life After graduation I went off to seriously study for Lutheran Ministry at Christ College Irvine. I seriously decided it wasn't for me. I did, however, meet a beautiful girl, half Armenian and half Swede. Beth and I have been married since 1984. Our daughter, Amanda, graduates from Elk Grove High this year (2004) with a 3.9 and three varsity letters in cross country and track and field. She's a chip off the old block. I received my B.A. in Sociology from Cal State L.A. in 1983, completed a minor in physical education and requirements for my teaching credential in 1985 at CCI, won a Keck Fellowship for summer graduate work in American Studies at Pepperdine University in 1989, and earned my M.A. in Curriculum and Instruction from Concordia University, Irvine in 1994. I still run, though a bit slower than in the MV days, listen to Led Zeppelin, write poetry, and write, record and produce rock music. I've also taught high school social science for 20 years and currently teach Psychology, Government, and Economics at River City High School in West Sacramento, California.
