Michael's Story
At Niles West I was involved in many of the Theatrical productions; I started the Radio Club and was the president for a year. I was also involved in Junior Achievement for 3 or 4 years, great fun and had some very nice girlfriends as a result.
After HS I went to Amundsen and Wright College,
Worked on the development of the first Ink jet printers for the ICBM missile Defense network (precursor to the internet) I developed the equipment that was used to verify the feasibility of High Speed data transmission via satellite that was called the ECHO 2 satellite test program.
In 1966 I married my wife June and she has put up with me ever since.
In 1976 I was a Startup Engineer at K...Expand for more
ewaunee Nuclear Power Plant and developed a safety innovation that all nuclear plants in the country were retrofitted to incorporate.
In early 1975 we moved to the Netherlands on a job transfer, where I was a design group supervisor for ARAMCO projects.
In the later part of 1977 we moved back to the States and settled in Houston, Texas where we have remained.
I started my own construction and consulting business after having a disagreement about business ethics.
After being a consultant to Shell Oil for 20 years, they made me a offer I could not refuse (godfather style) so I'm the Control Systems Engineer and Safety Coordinator for my site.
