Michael's Story
When I graduated high school I enrolled in the delayed entry progam of the US Navy with Mike Hurlburt. After 18 days I was released due to a color deficiency.
Headed back home and worked at Volplex as an assistant manager for a couple of years before deciding to head off to college and enter the seminary to study for the priesthood.
While at St. John Fisher College I took a year off to work at Covenant House in NYC with runaways. While there I had the opportunity to meet and speak with Mother Theresa.
My last year of college I decided I was not called for life as a priest so I rented a room near the college while I finished my studies.
My landlady Margaret became my wife and I became an instant father of a beautiful little girl named Eirene.
Future years brought two wonderful sons -Christopher and Mark.

stay at home parent and raise the children. In the evenings I worked for the Diocese of Rochester as a Youth Minister at three different parishes - St. Peters and Paul in downtown Rochester, Resurrection Church in Fairport and Sacred Heart Cathedral.
In 1993 Margaret and I founded our own business - Park Ave. Travel. where we specialized in Student Travel. Following the terrorist attcks in 2001 we changed the focus of the agency to Honeymoons and continued to prosper.
In 2005 we purchased a historic building on the corner of Phoenix and Main Street in Canandaigua where O'Neils Florist used to be as an investment.
This was the beginning of Phoenix Development - my company specializing the the preservation of historic properties.
I have been extremely blessed coming from a family of 12, having 3 children of my own and a loving and supportive spouse.
