Life I've been married to another Cumberland High School graduate, Joe Boulay (class of 1973) for 30 years! Our entire lives have revolved around or in the ocean. We bought our first sailboat, a Sunfish in 1978 and got hooked on the sport. That sunfish is still commissioned each winter when Joe races her in a "frostbite racing program at Edgewood Yacht Club. I bought my own sunfish in 1991 and compete against Joe and the other guys every Sunday as long as the temps are below freezing. In September, 2003, Joe and I sailed away to the Bahamas and lived aboard our cruising sailboat Simple Life returning in July of 2004. Since at that time we didn't have refrigeration installed on board. Joe had to dive the reefs most days to spear our dinner. We'd jerry can water from abandoned cisterns and often catch rainwater to replenish our water tanks. Most of the year was spent at uninhabited islands while anchoring out.
