Michele's Story
Life is strange, isn't it?
I've been in a reminiscing mood lately so I thought I would visit here and found my story a little out of date! So this is an update as of 7/2023.
I married at 21 and was a stay-at-home mom by 23 years of age. I have 4 children - Kathleen, Timothy, Daniel, and Patrick (PJ). We spread them out so right now they range in age from 44 down to 33. All are through with school and living on their own. They are great kids and I am very proud of EACH one! I have four grandchildren (2 boys and 2 girls) and I love being a grandmother!
In 1997 Ron asked for a divorce so at the age of 42 I went back to school and became a Registered Nurse. School was so much more enjoyable as an adult! I worked in many different areas of nursing the last being as a Home Hospice Nurse. That was my nursing "goal" and I'm so very happy that I achieved it as Hospice Nursing is the most rewarding career EVER! I have been retired for some time now - although recently I went back to the local hospital part-time due to the nursing shortage.

still browse through here once in a while and I am constantly amazed at the number of names that are familiar. Thinking back to high school - it is easy to tell that people change as some of the people I "see" here, --- well let's just say that I would never have pictured them signing up on anything high school related! Yes, life sure is strange!
I wish I had the courage to contact some of you! Most of the time I smile when I recognize your names - either out of a good memory OR out of an equally good embarrassing moment! Nope, I wouldn't repeat high school for anything! But I wouldn't give up the memories either.
Facebook seems to be the place now for keeping in touch - and I would sooo like it if you would send me a friend request. I'm listed as both "Michele James" and "Micki Romanek". "Micki" is the name that I have been called for 50 years now. Time sure flies, doesn't it?
