Michele's Story
Who am I? Wow, not sure how to put that in words. I will tell you some things about my life and you can form your own opinion.
I started business school two weeks after high school for medical transcription. My first job was at the University of Washington. I got married within a year of graduating from high school (probably not one of my wisest decisions). Within three months of getting married and 13 months after graduating from high school we joined the Army together which was a really good thing. I grew up a lot in the Army and learned a lot about myself and how strong I really am.
I was a medic in a helicopter ambulance unit at one assignment and worked in cancer research at another. I have lived all over the country and even three years in Germany (who knew those German classes would be of some use).
After being married for 15 years I was divorced and came back to Washington where I started my own business doing medical transcription so I could stay home with my three kids. I have an adopted daughter, Stephanie who is 30 living in Maine with her husband who is in the Navy. I have ...Expand for more
two sons, Chris and Zack 27 and 29. They both followed in their mother's footsteps into the Army, Chris as a Thai interpreter and Zack as a medic (like his mom). They both served time in Iraq which were the two hardest years of my life. Zack is graduating from nursing school in a few weeks and Chris is a Redmond police officer. Needless to say, after some really rough years with them as rowdy teenagers they have all turned out to be amazing people.
Okay, I know this isn't supposed to be all about my kids. I went back to school at some point to become a paralegal but haven't changed professions at this point. I am working at a "real job" finally where I have vacation time and spend any time I can traveling. Last summer I drove across the country to Florida with my daughter and I just returned a few weeks ago from a trip to Maine.
I have my motorcycle endorsement and rode for several years although don't have one at the moment but would love to ride again in the future.
Along the way I have made some huge mistakes in my life but I have come through the dark times to become who I am today.
