Michele's Story
Life
I've been married (the second time around) for almost 11 years to a great guy who I met at a church function about 14 years ago. He is a chemical engineer and I am a psychotherapist. We have three children, 28, 26, and 16. And, since our children are not married, thank goodness we do not have any grandchildren. However, I do look forward to this day. (I plan to work less so I can stay home and take care of the grandchildren while my children work. My husband, however, doesn't yet know of my scheme.) We live in the St. Louis area.
Our son, Alex, recently passed the bar and works with his dad in South Carolina. Of course, I wish he lived here, but we do talk at least weekly and visit several times a year. He recently started dating a young lady who just passed her boards in nursing and is employed at a local hospital in South Carolina. Meredith lives in St. Louis where she works fulltime for a group of financial advisors. She will graduate with a business...Expand for more
degree in the next semester or so. She has been dating a guy we really like for about a year and a half. Julia is 16 and enjoys her social life at school and enjoys being in the school orchestra where she plays cello.
Regarding hobbies, my husband enjoys writing and I enjoy "building my nest", as my husband says. We regularly attend church at an interdenominational church with a church membership of about 5,000.
We have two pets, a fish and a dog. The fish does pretty much nothing except swim around, but it is peaceful watching him. Our dog is very high maintenance with diabetes, skin allergies, and thyroid problems. Taking care of her requires regular, sometimes weekly, trips to the vet. She recently had cataract surgery and we presently take her for her follow-up care to the vet school at the University of Missouri in Columbia, which is about 1 1/2 hours away. When we go, it is an all day trip.
I look forward to reconnecting with my classmates of 1972.
