I really want to find my college roommate from San Diego State University. I think of her often. Caren Ahern was her name. I don't know if she married Jay Charnes or not. The last time I saw her was in Vegas about twelve years ago. She was an Alpha Phi at State and I often wonder what happened to her. So, if you ever read this Caren, look me up!

I just quit my job at Hoag Hospital in Newport Beach. First I was a nurse on the Surgical/Sub-Intensive Care floor and loved it. Then, when I was pregnant with my first child, I transfered to OB Education. I was a Childbirth Instructor, answered the Hoag Babyline (949-764-BABY for questions about b...Expand for more
abies/toddlers from new parents & especially about breastfeeding from new moms), and was a lactation nurse (helped new moms learn how to Breastfeed).
My best friend from nursing school was my boss the last few years. It was a dream job, but we moved out of the area. Hoag was such a great hospital. I worked 15 - 20 hours a week and Brad and my mom watched my kids. It allowed me to do whatever I wanted, whenever I wanted with my kids/family.
It was a great job, fabulous company and wonderful people to work with. I don't think I am done with being an RN forever. I see myself going back very part time in a couple of years, just to keep my skills up to date. I love being a nurse.
