Michelle's Story
After highschool, I went to a few semesters at Wright Jr. College, but quickly decided that I liked working full time more. After several years of simply having fun, working at fun places, and meeting new people, I met the man who would become my husband, Myron Bergstrom. After dating for about a year, breaking up a couple times, then getting back together, we got engaged on a whim.
In April 1999, we got married at the Excalibur Casino/Chapel in Las Vegas. In October 1999, Myron accepted a Best Buy job transfer to Reno, NV. We packed up in two weeks, enlisted Uncle David as our travelling companion, and moved to a dry, mountainous climate that we immediately fell in love with.
After living in an apartment in Northwest Reno for about a year, we bought our first (and current) home in the North Valleys of Reno. We live in a 2 bedroom (soon to be 3 bedroom after renovations), 2 bathroom home in a middle-wage housing community. Myron works as an electrician apprentice (will "graduate" in May 2009), and I'm working at a hospital in South Reno as a Quality Specialist.
Family-wise, we weren't planning on having kids, but in January 2004. I got pregnant with our daughter Melody Bee and couldn't have been happier. I'm now pregnant with baby #2, a currently unnamed boy, who is due August 4, 2008. We have two dogs: Queen Samantha (Sammy), a female Scottish Terrier, and Maximus, a male Mini Schnauzer. We love them as if they were our children. S...Expand for more
ammy is quite the tempermental beast, but she's my best companion and protector. Max is a goofball of a dog with horrible breath who is best for snuggling with while relaxing on the couch. I think Max pays more attention to the TV than I do!
After baby is born, I will be a stay at home mom for awhile. This will be both a challenge as well as a reward on many different levels.
My favorite things to do, when I'm not spending time with my family, are read (I'm a book-a-holic), shop online, chat with friends online (old and new), cook (mostly vegetarian), and write short fiction stories. My life goal is to write and publish a novel. I love movies, and mostly spend any time watching TV with my family, I rarely watch TV alone. Music used to be a passion of mine, but is now more of a simple pastime than an obsession. I'm mostly into pop music, new country, and some alternative.
Personally, I have 6 tattoos, and I love them all. I've had many different body piercings, but currently only have my ears and one "unmentionable" area pierced (LOL).
I'm hoping to reconnect with some old childhood and teenage friends through this site. I'm very much missing one of my first friends, Melody Takacs. I haven't spoken to her in years, and have no idea where to find her. Let me know if you know!
Thanks for reading "My Story." I'll be sure to update this occassionally and add new pictures. I look forward to hearing from some old friends and classmates!
