Michelle's Story
A couple of major things have happened in my life. Right after graduation, I was diagnosed with Hodgkins disease, which is a type of lymphatic cancer. I underwent 6 months of radiation therapy and made it through. It was a scary thing to go through when your 18 and invincible. t climbing, I fell 65 feet and broke my pelvis, hips, leg, arm, fractured my skull and a few other parts. I recovered fully however and even had a son in 2002. As a result of my earlier radiation treatment, I developed breast cancer in 2005 and underwent 6 months of chemotherapy. I am cancer free and have no plans of anything else major happening. These events taught me to cherish my time here and the people in my life. I haven't made it to any of the reunion usually because of my job. Still would love to connect with my classmates and see old friends.
