Michelle's Story
Hmm - what to say? Went to UTSA for a while. Moved up to Austin in '84 with my boyfriend at the time to get out of the house. Left him and moved out to San Francisco in less than a year after that, to be with my sister and pretty much only remaining family. Worked in law firms, went to school at SF State and San Jose State studying Biology. I travelled quite a bit and learned about fine wine and good food. Worked at FedEx, while still going to school. Experienced the Loma Prieta earthquake. Met my husband in 1991 and married...Expand for more
him in 1994. Coworker told me about a local biotech called Genentech and got me a job there in manufacturing. It's an awesome company. They make incredible drugs and I am so proud to work there. I've been there for 12 years now and now work in Quality Assurance - lot release. I survived breast cancer in 2003. My husband and I live in the "south bay" with no kids, 2 mastiffs (340# worth of dog!) and two cats. We love to cook and entertain. Not sure how (or if) anyone remembers me, but thought I'd "throw myself out there!"
