Michelle's Story
Life
I graduated from the University of California, Riverside, with a B.A. in Psychology and English, in 1997. Two months later, I married my high school boyfriend, Tom Newsome. We immediately bought a home on the border of Fontana and Rancho Cucamonga, near his work. I spent several years working as a Social Worker for San Bernardino County, Department of Children's Services. I quit that job when my daughter, Adrienne, was born in 2002. a year old, I went back to school to earn my Master's of Science Degree in Educational Counseling and Guidance. During the 3 year program, I had my son, Tommy, in 2004. I just graduated with my degree (from Cal. State University, San Bernardino) in June of 2006. I'm currently employed as a counselor at Chaffey College. Tom and I recently purchased a new home in Wrightwood, and moved back. I hope to eventually get a position as a School Counselor at Serrano.
